PixelKit collects only the minimum necessary information:
- Email address — For Pro license purchase and management
- Payment information — Processed through the Polar.sh payment platform (not stored directly)
- License key — Used to activate Pro features
- User settings data — Color history, grid settings, presets, etc. — stored only in chrome.storage.local on your device
- Device identification — We do not collect any device identifiers or fingerprinting data

- Websites you visit
- Browser extension usage patterns or analytics data
- Page content or screenshots
- Cookies or tracking data
- Keystrokes or form data
- IP address or location information
- Browser history
- Personally identifiable device information
3. Purpose of Information Use
- License authentication and management
- Customer support
- Product update notifications (optional)
4. Third-Party Disclosure
We use Polar.shfor payment processing. We do not sell or share personal information with any other third parties.
5. Data Storage and Security
All extension data (settings, presets, color history, etc.) is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any external server.
The only external communication occurs during Pro license verification, which connects to the Polar.sh API. No browsing data or extension usage data is included in this communication.
6. Browser Permissions
PixelKit requests the following browser permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:
- activeTab, scripting — Inject visual design tools into the currently active tab
- storage — Save settings, presets, and color history locally on your device
- cookies — Cookie Manager (Pro feature) — only accessed when explicitly requested by the user
- declarativeNetRequest, webRequest — Header modification and CORS bypass (Pro feature) — disabled by default
- downloads — Save screenshots and exported presets to your device
- offscreen — Canvas-based image processing in a background document
- alarms — Schedule automatic preset application
- contextMenus — Integrate PixelKit actions into the browser right-click menu
- sidePanel — Display the main PixelKit UI panel
7. Data Retention
License-related data is retained for the duration of the subscription and will be deleted within a reasonable period upon subscription termination or account deletion request.
